 This is a workshop-based seminar aimed at people who are new to the area of leadership and teambuilding. With an emphasis on hands-on training, participants examine leadership and teambuilding theory and consider their own work practise. Trainees cover areas that include an investigation into successful leadership and the differences between managers and leaders. The seminar also examines how to develop teams and improve teamwork by understanding team members and their needs.

By the end of the seminar trainees will be able to:

  • Understand the differences between managers and leaders
  • Identify leadership styles
  • Identify the characteristics of good team leaders
  • Recognise the difference between groups and teams
  • Understand what assists and hampers effective teamwork
  • Establish action plans to improve their leadership and teambuilding abilities
