First Training computer graphics courses are designed to teach students how to use specialised software programs that enable users to create, modify and utilise graphics, text, images and sound in media applications. Students will become proficient in the various types of graphics and text formats, and will also have the opportunity to learn how to design business cards and other greeting cards; advertisements for magazines and newspapers; how to make stickers, as well as layout techniques. First Training offers computer graphics courses in PhotoShop, CorelDraw, PageMaker, Visio and AutoCAD.

PhotoShop
This class is designed to teach students how to use the graphics software program, PhotoShop. Students will learn basic techniques in image manipulation such as improving images; cut and pasting images together, inserting images; and other image resolution methods such as enhancing colour saturation, contrast; as well as various effects for use in various media and design applications. Students will learn to maximise the capabilities of this program and be able to design quickly and effectively, professional quality images and photographs.

Corel Draw
This class is designed to teach students how to use the program CorelDraw to create artwork and draw pictures. The CorelDraw software application is one of the most popular and widely-used graphics programs available and this class will enable students to utilise the powerful effects capabilities; classify and organise your work according to your needs; as well as be able to create documents, posters, stickers and business cards.

PageMaker
This class is designed to teach students how to use the desktop publishing program, PageMaker. This software program is one of the most powerful and effective applications for producing professional quality printed materials such as magazines, brochures, posters, pamphlets, flyers, and invitations. Students will learn how to create and format text as well as learn basic layout techniques; implement design changes; and manage page formats efficiently.

Visio
This class is designed to teach students how to use the technical drawing and design program, Visio. Students will how to create diagrams, flowcharts, maps, organisation charts; in addition to various business-related forms such as invoices. The class will also enable students to use the tools, stencils and pre-made forms within Visio, in order to take full advantage of the powerful and effective technical drawing interface.

AutoCAD
This class is designed to teach students how to use the three-dimensional engineering and scientific design program, AutoCAD. Students will learn commands to create AutoCAD drawings as well as be able to use the mouse to point & click various tools to create shapes. There are two class levels available, beginner and advanced, which will cover various techniques in generating graphic designs, drawings and images in AutoCAD.
